BASIC DACA ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS*

As a general rule, if people who meet the following criteria may qualify for initial consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA):*

·         Came to the United States before your sixteenth birthday.

·         Lived continuously in the U.S. since June 15, 2007.

·         Present in the U.S. on June 15, 2012, with certain exceptions.

·         Not have a lawful immigration status on June 15, 2012.

·         Be at least 15 years old at the time you apply for DACA.

·         Have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, a general education development (GED) certificate, or have an honorable discharge from the Coast Guard or U.S. armed forces, or “be in school” on the date of submission of the DACA application.  you submit your DACA application. See below for more information about meeting the “be in school” requirement.

·         Must not be convicted of a felony offense or significant misdemeanor offense or three or more misdemeanor offenses.
